The Nordic Library Project

The Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce:

received funds from Ministry of Science and Higher Education budget for activities aiming popularization of science.

The Nordic Library Project is the largest project in Central Europe based on organizing the international collection treating about nordic lands with special emphasis on Scandinavia.

The collection consists of 1000 bibliographic records including 264 unique books about political science, public policy, security administration, management, international cooperation.

The project was implemented in 12 months (02.01.2013 – 31.12.2013)
We systematically add new volumes to the collection.

Prof. Ryszard M. Czarny provided the collection with 500 items for The Nordic Library: books, exhibition catalogues, maps, plans, brochures.

The project allows for:

  1. Providing The University Library with books which in the large part are not imported by other polish libraries,
  2. Theoretical studies,
  3. Creating conditions for the scientific development for students, researchers,
  4. Creating the opportunity for the international dialogue.
